Bra Fitting FAQs

What can I expect with a bra fitting?

Our bra-fit specialist will guide you through your fitting experience. If you are comfortable we will ask you to take off your shirt and get down to your bra. We do not use measuring tape but will estimate your size by looking. We will then get you a bra to try on and assess the fit. We ask consent to adjust breast tissue and the bra. Once we determine a size and shape that is technically correct and you feel comfortable in, we will get you tons of options to choose from. If you need a style in a different color, we can special order this for you.

At the end your fitter will check you out and go over the return policy and wash and care instructions

We are a non judgemental safe space where lingerie-shopping is encouraged to be fun.

Online bra shopping

What is the best way to shop online?

First and foremost we recommend to get an in-person bra fitting by a bra-expert in a specialty boutique but if that is not an option for you because there isn't a bra fitting boutique near you, use our Bra Size Calculator and study our guides in the bra and boob school. Always read the description of the bra carefully because we try to give fit notes and feedback

Shop online:
- If you are confident in your knowledge of bra fit and sizing and you are familiar with the styles we carry

-If you are looking to re-purchase a style and size that you already know works for you

-If the bra is a “sexy time” bra and you don't care if it fits perfectly.

Can I measure myself for a bra at home?

While it's possible to measure yourself at home using a tape measure and online fitting guides, professional bra fittings often yield more accurate results. If you choose to measure yourself at home, follow the guidelines provided by our Bra-size calculator

Why do you use UK sizing in your (web)store?

We use UK sizing on our website. The reason for that is that most brands that are amazing for the fuller bust people are from England (or Poland). On top of that, the US sizing goes so deep into the alphabet that hearing the size can be overwhelming.

Consistency: UK sizing is standardized and widely used in the lingerie industry. Using a consistent sizing system helps ensure that you can easily find bras that fit regardless of the brand or retailer.

Global Market: Many lingerie brands and retailers operate internationally, catering to customers from various countries. Using UK sizing allows us to maintain consistency across different regions and make it easier for you to shop online or in-store regardless of your location.

Availability of Sizes: UK sizing offers a wide range of band and cup sizes, making it suitable for customers with diverse body types and measurements. We prefer to use UK sizing because it provides more options for customers and allows you to access a comprehensive range of sizes.

Do bra sizes vary between brands?

Yes, bra sizes can vary between brands due to differences in sizing systems, fit models, and manufacturing processes. It's essential to try on bras from different brands and styles to find the best fit for your body.

Fit questions

Is it normal for bra size to change over time?

Yes, it's normal for bra size to change over time due to factors like weight fluctuations, pregnancy, breastfeed ing, hormonal changes, and aging. Regularly reassessing your bra size and getting fitted for new bras as needed can help ensure optimal comfort and support.

What are the most common mistakes people make when trying to find the right bra size?

Most people who are wearing the wrong size bra have made two mistakes: their band size is too large and their cup size is too small. To fix this issue, start by reducing your band by one size and increasing your cups by two sizes. When you reduce your band size, it’s important that you also increase your cup size because the cups of your bra will be smaller, too.

How do I adjust my bra straps for the best fit?

Bra straps should be adjusted so they're snug but not too tight, with enough tension to provide support without digging into your shoulders. If your bra straps keep slipping off, they may be too loose, so try tightening them slightly. You might also need a band size smaller because when the band is too loose, no matter how tight you make the straps, you will just pull the band up and they will keep on sliding off.

What are common signs that my bra doesn't fit correctly?

Common signs of an ill-fitting bra include the band riding up in the back, straps digging into your shoulders, cups wrinkling or gaping, underwire poking or digging into your skin, and discomfort or pain while wearing the bra.

Lingerie and bra care

How should I wash my bras?

Knowing how to wash your bras keeps them from getting damaged.

Your pretty underthings need to air out so the elastic gets a chance to recover.
It is better not to wear the same bra more than one day in a row, but to rotate several bras over the course of two weeks. This way, you only need to soak your brassieres in your sink or tub once every 14 days to keep them clean!

To help them last longer, soak them in cold water with a special lingerie cleanser, gentle hand-wash detergent, or baby shampoo. Be sure that you are using an alcohol and bleach free detergent.

Fill a sink or tub with cold water and add 2-3 tbsp of your mild detergent of choice. Mix the detergent into the water. Let your intimates soak in the soapy water for around 20 minutes. Drain the tub of dirty water. Refill with clean cold water to rinse and clear the lingerie of soap. Do not squeeze or wring the bra. Gently press the water out of your lingerie and hang to dry.

That's it!

If you use a washing machine, always use a lingerie wash bag and set the machine on gentile cycle. NEVER PUT UNDERWEAR IN THE DRYER. ALWAYS AIR DRY.

Can I wear lingerie for everyday wear?

While some lingerie pieces may be designed primarily for special occasions, many styles are comfortable and suitable for everyday wear. It ultimately depends on your preferences and the specific design of the lingerie.

Fuller Bust / Big Boobs / Large Breasts Lingerie FAQS

Can larger breast sizes wear lace and sheer Bras?

If you wear a fuller cup size, you may have concerns about whether or not a seemingly skimpy lace bra can offer the appropriate support of big breasts. It is good news for all of you lace and mesh lingerie lovers out there, because sheer and lace bras can offer all the support that even large breasts need.

The key to picking out the most supportive and comfortable bra has more to do with style and fit than with the fabric selection; so go ahead and start browsing through all those sheer styles that you may have previously considered to be off limits.
If you have a larger bust size you may find that underwire style bras give you more support and give the added bonus of providing a nice shape and contour to your breasts although the selection of wireless bra for the fuller-bust is getting better every day. You can also look for three-part style cups; this is a bra style where the cup is made up of three different sections that are sewn together. This cup style is the most supportive and thus ideal for larger sized breasts.

Are there special considerations for bras for bigger boobs?

Bras for the fuller bust may have design features tailored to provide better support and comfort, such as wider straps, more substantial underwire, reinforced seams, and adjustable closures.
